Enrichment Opportunities

We believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Our enrichment programs are designed to inspire creativity, support academic growth, and foster social-emotional development for all students. Through dynamic partnerships, we offer a wide range of opportunities that nurture the whole child—during and after the school day.

Enrichment & Leadership Opportunities

We believe in educating the whole child and offer a variety of programs to help students discover their passions:

  • Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)

  • Academic assemblies and recognitions

  • Student leadership opportunities

  • Technology and literacy workshops

  • Parent and family engagement activities

  • Spirit Weeks and arts programs

Girl Talk

Girl Talk is a mentorship and leadership program designed for 6th grade girls at Rosa Parks Elementary. Through meaningful conversations and engaging activities, students explore topics like self-love, empowerment, and future readiness. The program also offers opportunities to dive into STEAM and community service, helping girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and prepare for success in middle school and beyond.

Conga Kids

Conga Kids introduces students to the world of partner dance, building skills that go far beyond the dance floor. Through this joyful and high-energy program, students develop confidence, teamwork, respect, and leadership, along with essential communication skills. Conga Kids empowers students to express themselves and connect with others in meaningful and respectful ways.

P.S. Arts

P.S. ARTS brings high-quality arts education directly into our classrooms and after-school programs, offering instruction in dance, music, theater, and visual arts. This organization is dedicated to improving the lives of children in underserved communities by leveling the educational playing field through the power of the arts.

P.S. ARTS also engages families through community outreach and cultural events, helping build a stronger connection between schools and families while encouraging advocacy for educational equity.

Rosa Reports

Rosa Reports is an exciting extracurricular activity that gives students a voice while building their confidence and communication skills. As part of this student-led “news” program, participants record announcements about upcoming school events and important updates. The videos are shared with families, keeping the community informed and giving students a fun, real-world platform to shine.

Think Together

Our partnership with Think Together provides Afterschool Expanded Learning Programs for students in grades K-8. These programs offer a safe, structured space for children after school and include a variety of academic and enrichment activities.

Students receive support in English Language Arts, Math, STEM, Youth Development, and Arts & Enrichment, helping them build skills and confidence. Families also benefit from this program’s focus on attendance, behavior, and academic performance—while working parents can have peace of mind knowing their children are engaged in meaningful learning.
