Principal's Message

Welcome to Rosa Parks Elementary School. Our mission is to educate students to be cooperative, responsible, ethical, lifelong learners who have the knowledge and skills to succeed in our diverse and global society. 

Our goal is to maximize learning opportunities through regular attendance, extended learning, and a lot of hard work! 

As we head into the last four months of our school year, we are looking forward to a promising yet challenging future for our Eagles.  The rollout of the California Common Core Standards and Smarter Balanced Assessments has many teachers, students, and parents concerned about our readiness with regard to instruction and technology. 

However, we are so happy to announce the installation of brand new computers in our primary Computer Lab!

Our district's IT department has been working tirelessly to upgrade and install new computer labs throughout the district.  Plans for Rosa Parks include upgrading the computers in the primary lab and moving those computers to our upper grade lab.  The project should be completed by the end of March and we look forward to unveiling the new labs soon afterwards!

None of our successes can be accomplished in isolation.  We always welcome parent and student volunteers to come assist in our efforts, whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in the office.  If you or your students are interested in offering your assistance, please stop by our office!
