Lynwood Unified Brings Music, Sports & Spring Break Enrichment to TK-8 Students

As part of its commitment to whole-child development, Lynwood Unified continues to expand enriching opportunities for students through LevelUp Lynwood, its free Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) serving TK-8 students before school, after school, and during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

LevelUp Lynwood offers many diverse enrichment opportunities, including cheer, clubs, and intramural sports such as soccer and flag football at all elementary and middle school sites. This school year, Lynwood Unified launched new mariachi and folklorico programs, introducing elementary school students to music, culture and performance through hands-on instruction.

This Spring Break, LevelUp Lynwood will offer a special three-day program April 6-8, featuring two on-site enrichment days and one hands-on field trip experience designed to keep students engaged, active, and learning during the break – all at no cost to families.

“LevelUp Lynwood reflects our commitment to providing students with engaging, high-quality experiences beyond the school day,” ELOP Coordinator Thelma Gonzalez said. “We are creating spaces where students can discover their passions, strengthen their confidence, and thrive academically and socially.”

The program is offered exclusively to enrolled Lynwood Unified students and is made possible through partnerships with trusted organizations, including Think Together, codeCampus, iAttend, Galileo and additional community partners.

Families are encouraged to contact their school site’s after-school Site Program Manager (SPM) to learn more about available enrichment opportunities or email levelup@mylusd.org.
